HAVANA 🇨🇺

Grand Theater of Havana

Home of the Cuban National Ballet, the Gran Teatro de La Habana is situated in the capital of Cuba. Located in the same spot as the previous Teatro Tacón, it was designed in 1914 by Belgian architect Paul Belau and executed by Purdy & Henderson.

The Galician immigrants of Havana funded its development as a social and community hub. Its facilities include a theater, a concert hall, conference rooms, a video screening room, an art museum, a choral center, and various practice spaces for dance groups, all conveniently located on the Paseo del Prado.

The Cuban National Ballet Company, in addition to other dance organizations and acts, currently call the García Lorca Auditorium their home, which is the theater’s main venue.
