Las Bóvedas means “The Vaults”, and they are a military structure located in the Old City of Cartagena. They were originally built as dungeons and are located between the Fort of Santa Catalina and the Fort of Santa Clara. The cells in the dungeon now house local shops, boutiques, and other businesses.
