WorldFreeTours (“we”, “us”, “the site”) operates worldfreetours.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site, how it is used, and the rights you have over it.
Who We Are
WorldFreeTours is a travel content website that publishes free walking tour guides, city guides, and food guides in English, Spanish, and French. The site is operated by Axel J. Berglind, contactable at worldfreetours.hello@gmail.com.
What We Collect
We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any contact details through this site. There are no signup forms or newsletters.
We do, however, collect limited technical and usage data automatically:
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. This includes data such as your approximate location (city or country level), device and browser type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or search that referred you. Google may process your IP address as part of this. We use this only in aggregate to improve our content. Google’s own handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information for security and maintenance, including IP addresses, browser type, and request times.

Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and measure usage.
Affiliate cookies are set by our partners (see below) once you click through to their sites, so they can attribute a booking to us. These are placed by Civitatis and GetYourGuide on their own domains, not ours.

Affiliate Links and How We Earn
WorldFreeTours is free to read and contains no paid advertising. We fund the site through affiliate partnerships. When you click certain links and then make a booking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Our affiliate partners are:
Civitatis — used primarily for tours and activities in Europe, the Mediterranean, and Latin America.
GetYourGuide — used primarily for tours and activities in Asia, Africa, North America, and the anglophone Caribbean.
When you follow one of these links, you leave our site and your activity is then governed by that partner’s own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details or any personal information you provide to them.
How We Use Data
The limited data we collect is used to measure site traffic, understand which content is useful, fix technical problems, and keep the site secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Sharing of Data
We do not share your information with anyone except the service providers described above (Google Analytics, our hosting provider) who process data on our behalf, and the affiliate partners whose cookies are set only when you choose to click their links.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data relating to you, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. Residents of the European Union (GDPR), the United Kingdom, Mexico (LFPDPPP), and other regions have specific statutory rights. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
