NEW YORK CITY 🇺🇸
Grand Central Terminal
Grand Central Terminal, sometimes known as Grand Central Station or just Grand Central, is a commuter train terminal in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, located at 42nd Street and Park Avenue. Grand Central is the southern terminal of Metro-North Railroad’s Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven Lines, which serve the northern areas of New York City. It also connects to the New York City Subway at the Grand Central–42nd Street station. After New York Penn Station and Toronto Union Station, the terminal is the third busiest train station in North America.
Grand Central Terminal’s station house has received multiple landmark designations, including National Historic Landmark status, for its remarkable architecture and interior design. Several works of art are included in its Beaux-Arts design. With 21.6 million visits in 2018, excluding train and metro passengers, Grand Central Terminal is one of the world’s ten most visited tourist attractions. The terminal’s Main Concourse is frequently used as a meeting spot and has appeared in films and television. Grand Central Terminal is home to a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as two food halls and a grocery market.
