The bronze sculpture, which weighs 3,200 kilograms and is 3.4 meters tall and 4.9 meters long, represents a bull, the symbol of strong financial optimism and wealth. The Charging Bull, which represents Wall Street and the Financial District, is a renowned tourist attraction that attracts thousands of visitors each day.
In the aftermath of the 1987 Black Monday stock market disaster, the Italian artist Arturo Di Modica created the artwork.
