The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, often called 9/11 Memorial & Museum, is dedicated to the September 11, 2001 attacks that killed 2,977 people and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that killed six. The memorial is located on the former site of the Twin Towers, which were destroyed during the September 11th attacks. It is run by a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds for, program, and operate the World Trade Center memorial and museum.
